Lassie's family tree as well as candid shots

Our pages and groups are not devoted to any one person or period in Lassie's history. While we understand there is curiosity why the Weatherwax
family sold the trademark and ended their association with Lassie, those decisions happened in 2000/2004. Bob Weatherwax is no longer involved with
Lassie in any official or legal capacity and no longe rbreeds or supplies the Lassie
line dogs. Although some
false rumors have surfaced by people who have
current commercial interests with Bob and/or his dogs about those have continued with Lassie, there is no truth and the place
for any conflict belongs in a
courtroom
and no litigation has ever
been filed or taken place.
Bob is now involved in new projects and we wish him well and thank him and his family for
the 60 years
of stewardship of Lassie. They will never be forgotten
.
Lassie will continue as it has for over 70 years. Carol Riggins, who has decades of
experience working as a professional animal trainer, and as both co-trainer and trainer of Lassie under Weatherwax Trained Dogs, is now the official owner
and trainer of Lassie
and continues breeding
the same highest quality official genetic line
dogs descended from Pal and sired by the previous Lassie.
While some pet owners who Bob placed pet dogs with have bred their line dogs and
are calling them "Lassie puppies", the only actual" Lassie puppies" are
those sired by the official Lassie.
The legacy of Lassie, the dog,
the rich history, traditions and training methods of Rudd Weatherwax, and the
official
line
dogs still continue for future generations to enjoy.

Important Update January 24, 2011- WWLD? We are sorry to report that once again there are people misrepresenting "Lassie". According to the
Michigan Winter Dog Classic webpage and Facebook page,
Jon Provost
supposedly appeared with "Lassie", when
in fact the dog in question was NOT Lassie at all, but is a distant relative and
one of 2 pets
owned by the animal
products company Jon Provost is currently a spokesperson for. Lassie does not endorse any of the
products
being
sold
by the company and never appears for products that are not officially licensed. .
There is only one Lassie and
it is the
one pictured
here on our site and
our
Facebook
pages, and those of Classic Media, owner of the Lassie
trademark. All official appearances by Lassie, with or without Timmy,
will be listed
here on
the
Lassie Network. If you don't see it listed here,
it's more than likely NOT Lassie.
We'll keep you posted on all the latest shows, Lassie products, and all OFFICIAL appearances as soon as they are announced.
And don't forget to check out our Virtual Museum. We have one of, if not THE largest collection of Lassie memorabilia in the world that has been featured in magazines and on TV shows all around the world,
Want more? We'll have it all here including contests, interviews with cast, crew and family members and exclusive behind the scenes content for Fan Club members that you can't find anywhere else! Even the pros come to us to find all things about the OFFICIAL Lassie, so don't be left out!
We are currently updating our site to provide an even better experience than ever before. Every day more and more is being added. Please bear with us as we make these changes.
